Prof. Dr. Jan Distelmeyer is a Professor of History and Theory of Technical Media at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FH Potsdam) in the cooperative degree programme European Media Studies (FH & Uni Potsdam). He serves as Pro-Dekan of the Design Department and is affiliated with the Institute for Applied Research Urban Futures (IaF). His academic journey includes habilitation at the University of Hamburg (2011) and active participation in the research college Sensing: On the Knowledge of Sensitive Media (2018–present).
