Jamie L. Pratt is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational and School Psychology at the University of Southern Maine (USM) within the School of Education and Human Development. She holds a Psy.D., M.S., and B.A. from USM, University of Maine at Farmington, and other institutions. Her expertise spans applied behavior analysis, functional behavior assessment, and clinical supervision in school settings. She has over 18 years of experience working with school-aged children with developmental disabilities and emotional-behavioral disorders.
Dr. Pratt’s research focuses on developing behavior-analytic strategies to improve outcomes for children with emotional-behavioral disorders. Her publications emphasize functional behavioral assessment, intervention generalization, and equity in educational practices. She currently serves as President of the Maine Psychological Association and on the Maine Department of Education’s Advisory Committee on School Psychologists. Dr. Pratt mentors school psychology trainees in the Maine LEND program and provides clinical services in PK-12 schools.
Her professional roles include leadership in academic departments, advocacy for neurodevelopmental disabilities, and advancing best practices in school psychology through collaborative research and policy engagement.
