James J. Turner

James J. Turner is an Associate Professor at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy of the National Defense University. He served as a Foreign Service Officer (FSO) from 1992 to 2020, holding diverse roles in international diplomacy and strategy. His career includes postings as Foreign Policy Advisor to the Commander of SOJTF-OIR, Economic Counselor in Jerusalem and Ankara, and leadership roles in Baghdad, Washington, DC, and China. He has extensive experience in political and economic affairs, consular operations, and intelligence analysis.
