James Henkel is a Lecturer in the Department of Art within the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota. He holds an MFA from Florida State University and maintains a studio at the Regis Center for Art in Minneapolis.
His artistic practice centers on arranged and altered image photography using both silver gelatin and color processes. Henkel has exhibited in over one hundred national and international venues including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Pace MacGill Gallery (New York), Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, and St. Petersburg exhibitions.
