Jakub Haufa

Prof. Jakub Haufa (born 1980, Poznan) serves as Professor of Violin and Orchestral Studies at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan and Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, while concurrently holding the position of First Concertmaster of Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra since 2003.

His educational foundation was established under Prof. Jadwiga Kaliszewska at the Poznan Academy of Music, culminating in the presidential conferral of Professor title in Musical Arts in 2021.

Haufa's artistic expertise centers on Violin Performance, Orchestral Studies, Classical Music, and Chamber Music. Renowned for technical mastery and interpretative depth, he bridges solo virtuosity with orchestral leadership, having premiered Penderecki's Concerto doppio under the composer's baton and recorded extensively for major labels including Deutsche Grammophon.

His significant recognitions include:

Haufa actively shapes orchestral performance pedagogy through his leadership at the Poznan Academy's Institute of String Instruments, where he initiated the Department of Orchestra Music in 2020, and maintains intensive performance collaborations across Europe and Asia as both concertmaster and soloist.
