Jakub Balicki

Jakub Balicki is a Professor at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, specializing in graphic design and multimedia. He holds a habilitation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2014), following a PhD (2005) and MA in Graphic Design (1998) from the Łódź Academy.

His research focuses on typographic poster design, custom typefaces, 3D graphics, animated typography, and mobile application interfaces. Notable works include typogeometric compositions using self-designed fonts, showcased internationally in exhibitions across Finland, Japan, Russia, and beyond. In 2019, he won the prestigious 'Posterist in the world' competition in the Typographic Poster category.
