Artur Frankowski is a Professor at the Faculty of Design, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, specializing in graphic design theory, typography, and typeface creation as both an academic and practicing designer.
His educational milestones include:
- Habilitation thesis at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2013) on lettering and typography in urban spaces.
- Postgraduate program "Expert Class Type Design" at the Plantin Institute of Typography in Antwerp (2015).
His research centers on the intersection of graphic design practice and theoretical frameworks, with emphasis on typographic systems in public spaces. He has created over a dozen typefaces including Grotesk Polski and FA Komunikacja, and runs the Visual Communication and Typography Design Studio where industry-academic collaboration occurs through real-world projects.
