Jairo Hoyos Galvis is an Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies and Director of the Latina/o Studies program at the University of Puget Sound (on leave Fall 2024). He holds a BA and MA from Universidad De Los Andes, Colombia (2010, 2012), an MA from the University of Pittsburgh (2013), and a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh (2016). His research focuses on transnational intersections of art, science, and sexuality within 20th-century Latin American and Latinx cultural contexts.
