Jairo GIRALDO

Dr. Jairo GIRALDO is a Research Fellow in the Computer Science department at the University of Texas at Dallas and a visiting researcher at the iTrust research center at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. He is affiliated with the Cyber-security Research and Education Center at UT Dallas. His primary roles involve advanced research in cyber-security and control systems.

• B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Colombia, Manizales (2010)
• M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (2012)
• PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Bogotá (2015)

Research interests focus on distributed control for power grids and cyber-security and privacy of control systems. He explores interdisciplinary approaches at the intersection of electrical engineering, computer science, and cybersecurity to enhance resilience and privacy in critical infrastructure systems.

He collaborates with institutions through affiliations at both the University of Texas at Dallas and Singapore University of Technology and Design, contributing to labs/teams such as the Cyber-security Research and Education Center and iTrust.
