Jaemin Shim

Dr. Jaemin Shim is an Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University and an Associate at the GIGA Institute of Asian Studies (German Institute for Global and Area Studies). His research focuses on democratic representation gaps, comparative welfare states in OECD countries (with an emphasis on East Asia), and gender politics in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
