Jadelyn Abbott

Jadelyn Abbott is an Assistant Professor at Central Washington University’s College of Education, Department of Education, Development, Teaching and Learning. She previously held roles as Assistant Professor at Weber State University (2022–2024) and as a writing coach and instructor at Boise State University. Her expertise centers on literacy education, instructional coaching, and teacher efficacy in writing instruction.

She explores how coaching and mentorship programs enhance teacher confidence and student outcomes in literacy education.

Grants & Collaborations: She is a Co-PI on a Spencer Grant proposal exploring culturally responsive mentor teaching in teacher education. Her work often involves interdisciplinary collaborations with peers like Dr. Heather Carter and Dr. Katherine Wright.
