Sharon Matthews

Dr. Sharon Matthews is a Clinical Professor and Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Teaching, Learning & Culture at Texas A&M University. She focuses on preparing preservice teachers to integrate literacy across disciplines through translanguaging practices and culturally relevant pedagogy. Her research bridges classroom practice with academic inquiry, emphasizing children’s literature for disciplinary learning and formative writing instruction.
