Jacob Youmans

Dr. Jacob Youmans serves as Professor of Ministry and Director of the Director of Christian Education (DCE) program at Concordia University Texas within the School of Ministry. He began his academic role in July 2009 after serving as a Youth and Family Minister in Hawaii and California.

His professional focus centers on practical Christian ministry applications, particularly through mission-driven frameworks and faith integration in daily life. Research interests include youth discipleship strategies, family spiritual formation, and missional theology as evidenced by his five published books exploring cinema-based evangelism, child-like faith development, and global mission paradigms.

Dr. Youmans has extensive field experience leading mission teams across six continents and maintains an active speaking ministry addressing diverse audiences worldwide. He collaborates closely with church communities through the DCE program while balancing family life with his wife Christy, an educator and artist, and their two daughters Maile and Leilani.
