W. Jay Moon

W. Jay Moon serves as Professor of Evangelism & Church Planting and Director of the Office of Faith, Work, and Economics at Asbury Theological Seminary. Previously, he dedicated 13 years to missionary work with SIM in Ghana, West Africa, among the Builsa people, emphasizing church planting and water development alongside his family.

His educational background includes an MBA focused on social entrepreneurship and a Professional Engineer's license, enabling interdisciplinary integration of theology, engineering, and business principles.

Research interests span church planting methodologies, evangelism strategies, and marketplace mission frameworks, with emphasis on intercultural discipleship and entrepreneurial approaches to spiritual formation. His work bridges global missions, social entrepreneurship, and contextual ministry innovation.

As Director of the Office of Faith, Work, and Economics, he spearheads initiatives connecting Christian theology with economic practices and business engagement, fostering practical applications for faith-based marketplace impact.
