Jacob Dearmon

Jacob Dearmon serves as Professor of Economics and Director of the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Data Analytics at Oklahoma City University within the Business school and Data Analytics and Economics department.

His educational background:

• Ph.D. in Economics, University of Oklahoma
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Oklahoma State University

Dr. Dearmon specializes in macroeconomic development, spatial econometrics, and modeling of higher education outcomes. His current research applies machine learning techniques to spatial process analysis, with documented applications in the energy industry. Prior to academia, he developed computer applications for oil and gas sector consulting.

He collaborated with the Steven C. Agee Economic Research and Policy Institute to design Oklahoma City's forecast model. Professional affiliations include Omicron Delta Epsilon and the American Economic Association.
