Jack Vespa is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of English Rhetoric and Writing at Berry College. He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Utah (2001), an M.A. in English from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (1991), and a B.S. in Psychology and Philosophy from Illinois State University (1985). His teaching focuses on British literature, American literature, and rhetoric/writing courses ranging from introductory to advanced composition. His research interests include literature of sensibility, Romanticism, and the Wordsworth Circle scholarship of teaching.
Dr. Vespa emphasizes creative pedagogy, blending classroom instruction with performance-based engagement through his alter ego, 'Jack of Hearts.' He currently teaches at Berry College and maintains a presence in Evans Hall 206F.
