Heidi J. Snow

Dr. Heidi J. Snow serves as Professor of English and Director of the Center for Narrative, Meaning, and Media at Principia College. Her academic leadership spans British Literature from the English Renaissance to the Victorian era, with a focus on William Wordsworth's works and historical context (1770-1850).

• PhD in English Literature from Southern Illinois University Carbondale
• MA in English Literature from Bridgewater State University

Her research explores the intersection of British Romanticism, social ethics, and environmental history, particularly examining:

• Wordsworth's responses to political events
• Socio-economic attitudes toward poverty
• Romantic-era ecological writing in the Lake District
