Dr. Jack Rogers is Professor of Biomedical Engineering at UAB with joint appointment in the Heersink School of Medicine. He earned BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and previously worked at San Diego Supercomputer Center.
Research combines cardiac electrophysiology and electromechanics using custom instrumentation. Lab develops optical mapping techniques for heart and gastrointestinal function analysis. Current projects include human cardiac spheroid studies and in vivo gastric mapping.
Teaches scientific computing and cardiac electrophysiology. Former director of undergraduate biomedical engineering program. Office located in Volker Hall B128.
