Dr. J. Mark Long is an Associate Professor at the Honors College of Baylor University, where he also serves as Director of Middle East Studies. His expertise lies in contemporary Islamic fundamentalism, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and national security issues related to al-Qaida and ISIS. A former Air Force intelligence analyst and instructor, he brings practical military and academic experience to his teaching and research.
