J J Keating is a Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. His research focuses on impurity profiling of amphetamine-type drugs of abuse, particularly newly emerging hallucinogenic amphetamines, and their forensic applications. He has contributed significantly to understanding synthetic routes of illicit drugs and their toxicity. Keating holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and has extensive postdoctoral and research experience.
