Izabela Florczak is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Labor Law, Social Security and Social Policy, Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz. She currently serves as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration for International Cooperation and Projects and as the deputy head of the Center for Migration Studies at the University of Lodz.
Dr. Florczak graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz in 2011 and defended her doctoral dissertation titled 'Status prawny osób świadczących pracę w ramach umownego zatrudnienia nietypowego' (Legal status of persons providing work under atypical employment contracts) in 2016. She has been employed as an Assistant Professor since 2016, progressing through academic positions, and has served as Vice-Dean since June 2023. Since 2016, she has also been practicing as a legal counsel.
Her research focuses on employment law, particularly atypical employment arrangements, migrants in the Polish labor market, economic migration, CSR, and social policy. She is actively involved in the AI WORK TEAM research group studying the impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets and employment law. Her scholarly work addresses contemporary challenges in social security systems and social rights related to employment, with particular attention to legal aspects of foreign workers in Poland.
Dr. Florczak has received multiple Rector's Awards from the University of Lodz for both scientific and organizational achievements, including an IDUB Competition Award for successfully obtaining external research funding.

- Author of the 'Sąd w Bajkogrodzie' workshop program for primary school students
- Coordinator of postgraduate studies on legal and social aspects of foreigners' functioning in Poland
Dr. Florczak is actively involved with the Center for Migration Studies at the University of Lodz and collaborates with the Migration Analytical Center at the Office for Foreigners. She is a member of the Management Committee of the COST project 'Platform Work Inclusion Living Lab' (P-WILL) running from 2022-2026.
