Itty S. Neuhaus

Itty S. Neuhaus is an Associate Professor in the Art Department at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she has taught since 2000. Her work spans sculpture, drawing, and video installations, often exploring environmental themes and climate change.

Her research focuses on environmental art, light-based installations, and climate crisis responses. Recent projects include large-scale works like "Land Lovers" (2024) and "Sublimation: An Iceberg's Story" (2018), reflecting her Arctic and Newfoundland visual research.

Notable awards include the Arctic Fulbright Scholar Award (2016), multiple MacDowell Colony and Yaddo residencies, and grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts. She has curated and participated in numerous international exhibitions, blending art with ecological discourse.
