Prof. Dr. Isaak Meier is a retired Professor of Civil Procedure Law, Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, and Private Law at the University of Zurich. He served as Chair of these disciplines and President of the Institute for Civil Procedure in Zurich. His academic career includes visiting scholar positions at Harvard Law School (USA), Cambridge University (UK), and Oxford University (UK). He holds a Dr. iur. (1975) and Venia legendi in civil procedural law (1982) from the University of Zurich, later expanding into mediation through postgraduate studies.
