Iris Laner is a Professor of Fine Arts and Art Education at the Department of Fine Arts and Design, School of Music & Arts Education (SOMA), Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. She leads the FWF solo project 'Joint Aesthetic Judgments' and coordinates the transdisciplinary #ConnectingMinds project 'Transforming Climate-Social Futures.' Her work bridges aesthetic, ethical, and political perspectives through collaborative and art-based research.
Her research focuses on aesthetic judgment, collaborative practices with cultural artifacts, and the role of art education in fostering utopian visions and sustainability. She has co-edited book series like 'Experience-Oriented Educational Research' and 'Interjections: Transdisciplinary Texts on Art and Pedagogy.'
