Irina Hashmi

Irina Hashmi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) at George Mason University (GMU). She holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from GMU, and a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her research bridges computational science and biological challenges, focusing on machine learning applications in molecular interactions and drug design. She teaches courses in computer programming and object-oriented programming, emphasizing hands-on coding and problem-solving.
