Irina Conboy

Irina Conboy is a Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on multi-tissue stem cell aging, rejuvenation, and regulation through conserved morphogenic signaling pathways.

She pioneered heterochronic parabiosis and blood apheresis studies demonstrating the reversibility of aging via circulatory milieu modulation. Her lab employs BONCAT technology for in vivo proteome analysis and develops CRISPR/Cas9-based therapeutics for safer gene editing.
