Dr. Irina Barclay is a Professor in the Department of Russian & Russian Literature at Appalachian State University, part of the Languages, Literatures & Cultures School. She holds a PhD (1995) and BA/MA (1988) from Tver State University, Russia. Her research focuses on Russian literature, historical linguistics (17th–19th century Russian language), and Slavic toponymy.
