Inmaculada Sureda García is a full Professor in the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where she has been a faculty member since 2000. She holds a PhD in Psychopedagogy from 1997 and teaches subjects in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, and the Master's in Psychoeducational Research and Intervention. She is co-director of the Master in Emotional Competences and director of the postgraduate course in Teaching and Professional Applications in Emotional Competences at UIB.
Her research focuses on socio-emotional development across childhood and adolescence, particularly in areas such as peer rejection, bullying, emotional competencies, social skills, and self-concept improvement. She investigates student engagement, especially in vulnerable populations and vocational training contexts, and contributes to the development and validation of psychological instruments related to bullying and emotional well-being.
