Inga Zimmermann is a Research Fellow affiliated with the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) and the Institute for Social Sciences at the University of Osnabrück. She is currently pursuing her doctorate, focusing on organizational perspectives on displacement and masculinity. Her research integrates empirical and theoretical approaches to humanitarian challenges.

- Protection standards: Evaluating legal and humanitarian frameworks for refugee safety.
- Asylum policy in Germany: Investigating national regulatory mechanisms and their societal impacts.
- Migration Research & Intercultural Studies: Exploring cross-cultural interactions and migration trajectories.
- Social Sciences: Applying interdisciplinary methodologies to societal structures.
Prior to her current role, she contributed to a Gerda Henkel Foundation-funded project at Ruhr University Bochum's Institute for Peace Security Law and International Humanitarian Law (IFHV), developing human security standards for refugees in Germany.
