Inga Dwenger

Inga Dwenger is a Senior Lecturer (Oberstudienrätin) at the Institute of English Studies (IES) at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. She specializes in English Didactics, Pragmatics of Irish English, and foreign language pragmatic development. Her research also spans English Literature, Linguistics, and North American Studies.

She contributes to initiatives such as Interact4School, QualiTIES, and ludiCall, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies. Her academic leadership includes involvement in the TEFL Lab (Flipped Classroom projects) and the LinA-Lab (Corpus Linguistics).

Research interests include variational pragmatics, ethnic and religious minorities in language contexts, and creative writing. She actively participates in the Irish English Research Network and supervises multiple PhD students in these areas.
