Dr. Ines Merbach is a Senior Scientist and Head of the Experimental Station Bad Lauchstädt at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ). She holds a Diploma in Agriculture (1984) and a PhD in Plant Production from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (1987), focusing on herbicide effects on plant species.
