Dr. Imon Chakraborty is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. His research focuses on integrated vehicle sizing, flight dynamics, and urban air mobility systems. He leads the Vehicle Systems, Dynamics, and Design Laboratory where his team has won international competitions including the Vertical Flight Society award.
Research Interests: Urban Air Mobility, Flight Dynamics and Control, Electric VTOL Aircraft Design, Aircraft Sizing and Optimization, Pilot-Vehicle Interface Design, Simulation-Based Design Methodologies.
