Dr. Imke Jansen is an Assistant Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, Clinical Developmental Psychology, IBBA, and APH - Mental Health. Her research focuses on social interactions, psychosis, adolescent development, and mental health, utilizing fMRI and other methodologies.

- Master in Viola Performance (Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, 2002)
Research interests include the effects of digital social ostracism, social decision-making in health and psychosis, and trust in adolescents. She coordinates master’s programs in Clinical Neuropsychology and teaches courses like Clinical Lessons and Developmental Psychology for Pedagogues.
Recent projects include investigating adolescent social interactions and mental health in digital environments (iBBA-funded), and a collaborative study on brain morphometry in clinical high-risk populations.
Active in interdisciplinary collaborations, she leads projects like Boosting Societal Adaptation (2023–2028) and contributed to the A.L.I.B.I. initiative (2020–2023).
