Imad Assali

Prof. Imad Assali serves as Dean of the College of Arts & Science at Ahlia University in Bahrain since 2022, previously holding the Chairperson role for the Department of Interior Design.

His academic credentials include:

• Ph.D. in Architecture from Graz University of Technology, Austria
• M.Sc. in Building & Urban Design from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London
• B.Sc. in Architectural Engineering from An-Najah National University, Palestine

Research centers on sustainable architectural solutions through biomimetic principles and ecological design integration. His work emphasizes nature-inspired approaches to sustainability beyond superficial replication, focusing on understanding natural systems to solve structural and environmental challenges in built environments.
