Ilana Eloit is an Assistant Professor of Gender and Sexuality at the Institute of Gender Studies, Geneva School of Social Sciences, University of Geneva. She specializes in interdisciplinary research combining feminist, lesbian, and queer theories with historical and cultural analysis of feminist and LGBTQ+ movements in France, focusing on epistemological tensions in subject-formation and marginalized histories of these movements.

- BA/MA in Social Sciences and Gender Studies from Sciences Po Paris and Paris 8 University
Her research interrogates the intersections of French universalism, heterosexuality as a political regime, and the historiography of feminist/lesbian movements, including Monique Wittig’s exile and anti-racist lesbian thought. She co-edited Lesbiennes, pédés, arrêtons de raser les murs (2023) and special issues on TERFness and queer haunting in Feminist Theory. She directs the University of Geneva’s Master’s program in Gender Studies and coordinates academic initiatives like the IRN 'World Gender.'
