Assoc. Prof. Iglena Ruseva is a faculty member at the Department of Production and Post-Production, Faculty of Screen Arts, National Academy of Dramatic Arts and Film 'Kr. Sarafov'. She holds a Master of Arts in Artistic Photography from FAMU (Prague) and habilitated as associate professor in 2002 with a dissertation on photographic image history. A leading figure in Bulgarian photography, she has served as editor-in-chief of 'Photo Eye' magazine and pioneered archival photography studies through projects funded by Pro Helvetia.

Ruseva's creative practice spans artistic photography, theatrical photography, and graphic/HTML design. Her solo exhibitions include 'Metamorphoses' (2016, Kazanlak), 'Ritual Masks' (2003, Johannesburg), and 'Shadows of Past Presences' (2007, Copenhagen). Her works are held in prestigious collections like the Victoria & Albert Museum (London) and the Museum of Applied Arts (Prague).
