Ibrahim Alkhataybeh is a Lecturer in Accounting at the School of Economics, Finance and Accounting within Coventry Business School, Coventry University. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Corporate Social Responsibility from the University of Sheffield (2022), an MSc in Accounting and Financial Management from Keele University (2016), and a BSc in Accounting from Yarmouk University, Jordan (2015). He is also a Fellow of the UK Advance Higher Education Academy.
His research focuses on corporate governance, sustainability accounting, and accountability, with recent emphasis on sustainability assurance practices. He has contributed to World Bank consultancy projects on SOE governance reforms in the Middle East and collaborated with the University of Sheffield’s Economics Department to assess local businesses’ economic well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining Coventry, he taught accounting modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at universities including Sheffield University Management School, Buckinghamshire New University, and the Global Banking School. His expertise aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly education (SDG 4) and responsible consumption (SDG 12).
He has supervised dissertations for undergraduate and Master’s students and maintains active engagement in both academic research and applied consultancy projects.
