Ian Stansel is an Associate Professor and Director of Creative Writing at the University of Louisville. He holds an M.F.A. from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a Ph.D. in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Houston. His work focuses on literary fiction, narrative techniques, and contemporary American literature.

Research Interests: Creative Writing pedagogy, short story composition, novelistic form, and themes of cultural identity and existential exploration.
