Ian Manners is a Professor in the Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of Texas at Austin, with a Ph.D. from Oxford University. His career spans institutions including Columbia University and Waikato University, and he has served as Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and Chair of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies.
