Iain Docherty is Dean of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Professor of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Stirling. He holds significant leadership roles including Director of the National Transport Authority (Ireland) and incoming Chairperson of Scottish Rail Holdings (from February 2025).
