About
Dr. Iain Burns is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. His research focuses on developing optical techniques for characterizing reacting flows, including laser-induced fluorescence, cavity ring-down spectroscopy, and laser-induced incandescence. He investigates soot formation in combustion processes to address climate impact and emission reduction challenges. His work spans industrial applications in energy and advanced manufacturing, with a keen interest in collaborative partnerships.
