ILYAS BAŞKONUŞ

Professor ILYAS BAŞKONUŞ serves as a Professor in the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine, where he has been a dedicated academic since 1992. His academic journey began with medical education at Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1985-1991), followed by specialization in General Surgery at Gaziantep University (1992-1998). He progressed through academic ranks from Research Assistant (1992-1998) to Lecturer (1999-2002), Assistant Professor (2002-2014), Associate Professor (2014-2024), and currently holds the position of Professor since 2024.
