Huu Doan

Dr. Huu Doan is Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University's Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science. He holds a BEng from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), MSc from University of Guelph, and PhD from University of Toronto.

His research focuses on advanced separation technologies with particular emphasis on membrane filtration systems for wastewater treatment applications. This work addresses critical environmental challenges in industrial and municipal water management through innovative process engineering approaches.

Professor Doan employs practical demonstrations to illustrate complex fluid dynamics principles. His pedagogical approach emphasizes translating theoretical knowledge into industrial problem-solving skills, preparing students for real-world engineering challenges through hands-on learning and critical thinking exercises.
