Hugo Gaggiotti is a Professor at the University of the West of England, Bristol, within the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL). He holds dual PhDs in Management and Anthropology, and his work bridges organizational studies with anthropological insights into global work and mobility.
His research focuses on global careerism, nomadic work, expatriation, intercultural leadership, and organizational narratives. He employs an interdisciplinary organizational ethnographic approach, with fieldwork conducted in industrial plants across the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, particularly in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. His recent work investigates how organizations can better support families, children, and youth in transnational border communities.
Gaggiotti contributes to postgraduate teaching in intercultural management, international business, research methods, and critical international HRM. His expertise includes innovative research methodologies and the anthropology of multinational corporations.
