Prof. Hsieh Hsin-Chin is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Taiwanese Culture, National Taipei University of Education, and has served as Secretary-General of the Association for Taiwan Literature since 2018. She holds a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of Oregon, U.S.A. Her research focuses on contemporary Taiwan literature, film, migration, Sinophone studies, and women’s studies, particularly examining the intersection of cultural production and migration dynamics.
Her doctoral work explored representations of family transformation and home through migrant women’s perspectives in Sinophone literature and film. She has contributed to journals like China Information, Chinese America: History and Perspectives, and Tamkang Journal of Chinese Literature. Prior to joining NTUE, she taught at Wesleyan University, U.S.A.

Research Interests: Her work bridges migration narratives, transnational cultural studies, and gender analysis. She currently leads projects on Taiwanese American literature and cinematic portrayals of migrant experiences in Taiwan cinema.

Professional Activities: She actively engages in academic leadership roles, including her position at the Association for Taiwan Literature, and has conducted interdisciplinary research on Sinophone cultural production.
