
Howard Rosen

Howard Rosen is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University and a Lecturer in Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford GSB, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford. Rosen serves on multiple corporate boards, including as Chairman of Alcobra, Ltd. (since 2014) and as interim CEO of AcelRx, Inc. (since 2015). Previously, he held executive roles at ALZA Corporation (President, 1994–2004) and Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Vice President, Commercial Strategy, 2004–2008). He has also served as interim president/CEO of Pearl Therapeutics and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
