Howard Leib

Howard Leib serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, Cornell University. He operates an intellectual property and entertainment law practice with offices in New York City and Ithaca, NY, specializing in entertainment, corporate, trademark, and copyright law including litigation. His client roster features artists including Whitney Houston, B.B. King, Kiss, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Bobby McFerrin, Judy Collins, Raffi, and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, alongside corporate entities such as MCA, BMG, Atlantic Records, 20th Century Fox, and Nickelodeon.

Leib holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and urban studies from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor with honors from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he contributed to both the Law Review and Law Revue. His professional expertise centers on intellectual property frameworks within entertainment industries, with over a decade of specialization in children's entertainment market dynamics and legal structures.

He founded the BrainCamp conference in 1997—the premier cross-media forum for children's entertainment executives for thirteen years—and published the industry newsletter BrainCamp News distributed to 5,000+ professionals across 50+ countries.
