Hongbing Fan

Hongbing Fan is an Associate Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. His research focuses on reconfigurable network computing platforms for grid/cloud computing, communication middleware systems for smart grids and sensor networks, and circuit/packet-switched reconfigurable on-chip interconnection networks. He is affiliated with the Science Building (Office N2081) and the Laurier Science Research Center (Lab R320). Languages spoken include English and Chinese.

Research Interests: His work bridges hardware/software co-design for adaptive networks, with emphasis on scalable middleware for distributed systems and energy-efficient interconnection architectures. Current projects explore hybrid circuit/packet-switched networks for high-performance computing environments.
