Henry Preater Colburn

Henry Preater Colburn serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College, maintaining office hours Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Old Library Room 233.

His research spans the art and archaeology of ancient Iran, ancient imperialism, seals and coins, history of archaeology, and museum studies, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to material culture and imperial dynamics in the Near East. This work integrates numismatic analysis with critical examinations of archaeological methodologies and museum curation practices.
