Wu Xin

Wu Xin serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College, currently on leave for the 2025-26 academic year. Her scholarly focus bridges ancient Near Eastern and Central Asian civilizations through material culture analysis.

Her research interests include:

• Central Asian Art and Archaeology
• Cultural interactions between East and West

Professor Xin's work investigates cross-cultural exchange networks across Eurasia during the first millennium BCE, particularly examining how Persian imperial structures influenced and integrated with eastern artistic traditions. Her approach combines archaeological evidence with art historical analysis to reconstruct dynamic interaction spheres beyond conventional political boundaries.
